Ultra-thin whitetoppingover Hot mix Asphalt is a composite structure which is formed by using two or more material soas to increase efficiency of structures. The main objectiveis to study structural behavior of ultra-thin whitetopping. In this work ultrathin whitetoppingis considered as laminated structure which consists of two layersof which upper is rigid layer and bottom is flexible layer. Hybrid fiber reinforced concrete is a rigid layerwhereas Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) is a flexible layer. Hybrid Fiber is addition of steel and polypropylene fiber with addition of mineral admixture like Alccofine-1203. In this study structural evaluation iscarried out by 3D Finite Element modeling using ANSYS software. Analysis of ultra-thin whitetoppingis done forvarious thicknesses and panel sizes (aspect ratio 1). The maximum stresses due to static load condition andtemperature along with deflection are studied at critical positions (i.e. center, corner, edge).Temperature variationfor minimum 5℃, at room temperature of 25℃ and maximum 40℃ is done for various panel sizes and results are withdrawn accordingly. |
