摘要: For highway congestion problem, simply increasing capacity of roadway section is not an effective solution because highway congestion is not just a problem of recurring "rush hour" delay in major cities. Non-recurring type congestion, caused by incidents like crashes, disabled vehicles, adverse weather, work zones, special events and other temporary disruptions to the highway transportation system, also has a significant share. To control these non-recurring congestions, there is a need to develop Traffic Incident Management systems. In present paper, an incident management system for Managing the incidents on Madhya Marg (Chandigarh) is developed using Ant System Algorithm and Blackboard Architecture. Coding for the program is done in Microsoft Visual Studio using C# language.
