摘要: Unprecedented high-rise buildings pose new challenges for earthquake cngineering. Full-field structural health monitoring (SHM) systems have flourished to address these challenges. In this study, a smart SHM system with 46 sensors installed on 15 floors of the 492-m-high Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) in China was developed. The efficiency of the system was validated through analysis of the dynamic characteristics of the tall building using measured data from a 7.2 M earthquake event that occurred in the East China Sea. Subsequently, emphasis was placed on analyzing the dynamic characteristics of the SWFC under the action of an earthquake in terms of time-history responses and identification of frequency and damping ratios, amplitude spectral ratios, and mode shapes based on the data observed from the system. This study not only advances our understanding of the development of full-scale monitoring systems for super high-rise buildings but also provides results that can be referred to by researchers and engineers involved in the design and management of high-rise buildings.
