摘要: |
The past few years have seen some significant advances in concrete technology. For example, newer concrete incorporating advances in admixtures and cementitious materials has emerged. The TRB National Cooperative Highway Research Program's NCHRP Synthesis 544: Concrete Technology for Transportation Applications documents how state departments of transportation select and deploy concrete technologies in the construction of transportation facilities. Concrete technology is also facing some emerging challenges that need to be addressed. These challenges include the present or future depletion of high-quality aggregates in some parts of the country, changes to power generating plants that will reduce the supply and consistency of acceptable fly ashes, and the incorporation of reclaimed or traditionally landfilled materials such as recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) into concrete. |
