| 摘要： | Performance is defined as the levels of success of the service with respect to different parameters such as safety, cost effectiveness and quality of service. The present study quantitatively evaluates the performance of State Transport Undertaking (STU) using multivariate and non-parametric techniques, with respect to the physical and financial parameters of the STU. This kind of analysis benefits the STU to set the benchmark to run the corporation in a profitable way. Quantitative methods such as non-parametric techniques (Data Envelopment Analysis-DEA) along with multivariate analysis (Principal Component Analysis-PCA) are used to quantify the performance in terms of efficiency. The results of DEA and PCA-DEA for the thirteen divisions of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KnSRTC) are found and discussed. |
