| 摘要： | The use of light guides has been limited to accent or specialty lighting and generally has been considered impractical for large-scale applications. After careful study, 2 mi (3.2 km) of light guides were installed in Boston's Callahan Tunnel. The 2-year study and design process is reviewed, and the system's performance after a year of operation is assessed. |
