| 摘要： | To date, the Colorado Scenic and Historic Byways Commission and the Colorado Transportation Commission have designated 21 scenic and historic byways. Colorado's program was one of the first fully developed programs in the country and is viewed as a model by FHWA. The history of Colorado's byways program is provided, including its intent and approach, as well as an overview, description, and assessment of the program, planning efforts, products, and projects developed to date. The investment strategy and how available funds have been used and maximized is a key aspect. A detailed description of program administration and planning processes is provided. A monitoring and evaluation program is described and potential infrastructure impacts identified. Lessons learned and the program's future with consideration of available funding are discussed. |
