摘要：	Nondestructive deflection testing with the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) is a critical element of the pavement monitoring for the Long Term Pavement Performace (LTPP) tests of the Strategic Highway Reseach Program (SHRP). The testing must be conducted consistently with accurately calibrated FWDs. This is a report of the procedures to be followed in the conduct of the deflection testing. It provides detailed testing programs for deflection testing within each of the LTPP experiments developed to date, as well as field quality assurance and data handling guidelines applicable to all deflection testing. The SHRP FWD Calibration Protocol is presented in an appendix and provides the first generally applicable, idependent procedure for verifying and refining the calibration of FWDs.
