| 摘要： | This digest contains information to facilitate the safe, orderly, and integrated movement of all traffic, including light rail vehicles (LRVs), throughout the public highway system, but especially at light rail transit (LRT) crossings. This report is intended to assist those involved in the planning, design, operation, and maintenance of LRT systems by providing a consistent set of guidelines and standards for LRT operations through higher speed LRT crossings. The contents are organized in the following sections: (1) Overview; (2) Background; (3) Summary of Solutions; (4) System Design and Operations Guidelines; (5) Traffic Signal Preemption Guidelines; (6) Automatic Gate Placement Guidelines; (7) Pedestrian Control Guidelines; (8) Guidelines for Selecting Among Pedestrian Crossing Control Devices; and (9) Education and Enforcement Techniques. |
