摘要: |
Thermal cutting is a procedure that is integral to the manufacture and fabrication of steel. Thermal cutting is particularly important in the production of plate steels, where it is commonly used for trimming the as-rolled plate to the required rectangular dimensions. The influence of the heat-affected zone generated by thermal cutting on structural steel has been investigated with respect to heat-affected zone ductility and impact toughness. Due to the localized nature of the heat-affected zone, special test specimens and practices were utilized. This report considers the influence of oxy-fuel cutting conditions on the heat-affected zone properties of structural steel. |
