| 摘要： | This report presents an analysis regarding the early deployment of advanced traffic management systems (ATMS) and advanced traveler information systems (ATIS) technologies for the Detroit metropolitan area. It includes an assessment of appropriate technologies architectures, and deployment strategies for the expanded area of coverage. The technological analysis evaluated the following system components: traffic sensors, environmental sensors, video surveillance,control and data processors, traveler information dissemination, and communication systems. In addition, an analysis is included of traffic congestion in the area in order to determine corridor priorities. This assessment was used in developing implementation plans and identifying which freeway corridors or segments need immediate ATMS/ATIS deployment. |
