| 摘要： | The objective of this report is to develop tools and procedures to assist Iowa transportation planners and traffic engineers in conducting various impact studies. Three types of studies are likely to benefit from improved modeling techniques - traffic impact analysis, bypass analysis, and interchange justification. The report is comprised of three sections. The first two sections address procedures for bypass analysis and interchange justification. The last section presents a user's manual for the Geographic Information Systems- (GIS-)travel modeling tools. The main focus of the report is on the utilization of GIS-based travel demand modeling tools for planning studies. |
