摘要: This report explains the collisions of two New York City Transit subway trains on the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn, New York on June 5, 1995. One person was killed and 69 people were treated at area hospitals for minor injuries sustained in this accident. The total estimated damage exceeded $2.3 million. From its investigation of this accident, the Safety Board identified the following safety issues; the fatigue of the J train operator, the adequacy of New York City Transit oversight programs, notably in the area of communications rules compliance, and the adequacy of spacing between signals.
