| 摘要： | This symposium presentation discusses the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) views regarding the issues involved in Integrated Transportation Management Systems (ITMS) deployment. As well as legal issues, the focus is on environmental and social issues, mainstreaming Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and the planning process, inter-jurisdictional concerns, privacy issues, liability issues, and others. DOT is focusing on practical applications that will assist in the deployment of ITS. Two projects are under way which are looking at experiences from projects around the country. One is examining shared resource ITS activities. The other is examining innovative contracting procedures. The remaining part of this presentation discusses in detail the issues being examined within each of these projects. |
