| 摘要： | Each year, about 41,000 people in the U.S. lose their lives in traffic collisions. This article provides an overview of the 1st annual "Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day," a program undertaken to help reduce fatalities and injuries on U.S. highways. The program is being promoted by the U.S. Department of Transportation and other state and local organizations as a highway safety campaign aimed at focusing public awareness on driver behavior, vehicle safety, and roadway improvements. |
