| 摘要： | Many Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technologies are already improving life for millions of drivers and passengers. Electronic toll collection and freeway management systems save drivers time as they keep ever-increasing volumes of traffic moving steadily. ITS has also had a positive effect on the environment by cutting down on delays and travel time, which in turn decreases emissions. In addition, ITS systems that allow authorities to pinpoint the location of buses on computerized maps have created more efficient transit fleets. As ITS technologies enhance the ability of municipalities to move people and vehicles in less time, with less aggravation, and for less money, complete ITS integration is expected to significantly compound the benefits of ITS, the most important of which are safety and reduced cost to the taxpayers. |
