| 摘要： | Missouri, Kansas, and Pennsylvania all claim to have the first interstate highways. Missouri was the first state to award a contract with new interstate construction funding and the first state to start construction after the 1956 legislation. Kansas claims to be the first state paving after the 1956 legislation. And finally, Pennsylvania built the Pennsylvania Turnpike in 1940, which eventually would become part of the interstate system. |
