摘要：	This article presents a history of the Short Course, the continuing transportation education program of Texas A&M University, which has been conducted for more than seven decades. In 2001, the program celebrated its 75th anniversary. Texas Dept. of Transportation employees are given opportunities to learn about the latest technology and research at the Texas Transportation Institute. This year's course focused on the future of transportation, "Creating Tomorrow's Transportation System." It helps accelerate the implementation of research findings in the field and provides an environment where collaboration is fostered between practitioners and researchers.
