摘要：	Researchers at the Texas Transportation Institute are starting a study to identify best practices for reconstructing urban freeway and arterial with concrete pavements in the safest and most timely manner. Among the elements of the study are: driver attitudes toward closures; current best practices in using concrete pavement to reconstruct high-volume roads; finding projects that are suitable for studies of traffic management techniques under those conditions, and carry out studies of up to five conceptual scenarios and synthesize the findings. The research team is now working with projects in the late programming or early design phase to identify ways to make the project completion as smooth as possible. Workshops are being held in Mississippi and Washington state.
