| 摘要： | A report on a prototype lane closure system shows that a progressive taper marked by synchronized flashing lights that "move" from the start of the taper to its end are effective in diverting drivers earlier, which makes the work zone safer. It also improves driver safety by giving more time for the lane-change maneuver. |
