THE AIM OF THE TESTS DESCRIBED IS TO CLOSE GAPS IN THE KNOWLEDGE. SEVEN BEAMS ARE PROPOSED ON WHICH THE INFLUENCE OF STIRRUP INCLINATION AND THE INFLUENCES OF THE SIZE AND ECCENTRICITY OF THE LONGITUDINAL FORCE ARE TO BE EXAMINED. ALL THE BEAMS ARE BEING CONSTRUCTED WITH THE SAME M/Q X H-RATIO AND THE SAME CONCRETE QUALITY. AS WELL AS THE DETERMINATION OF THE MATERIAL COEFFICIENTS THE FOLLOWING MEASUREMENTS ARE BEING CARRIED OUT: DETERMINATION OF THE BENDING TEARING LOAD, SHEAR TEARING LOAD AND FRACTURE LOAD; STEEL STRAINS IN THE LONGITUDINAL REINFORCEMENT AND THE STIRRUPS; CONCRETE STRAINS IN THE BENDING COMPRESSION ZONE AND IN THE SKEW COMPRESSION STRUTS IN THE BEAM WEB; DEFLECTIONS; CRACK WIDTHS AT THE LEVEL OF THE LONGITUDINAL REINFORCEMENT AND HALF WAY UP THE BEAM.
