摘要：	The air transport industry commercialized wartime technologies by gradually integrating them into a performance-based, commercially viable, and market-responsive system operating in a global, liberalized, and deregulated environment. Today, technology is once again shaping how aviation and air transport influence the world and the global civilization of the early 21st century. As we enter the new millennium, the primary questions that need to be addressed are the following: What is the "end game" in the evolution of the new global air transport and civil aviation systems? What technologies, systems, and approaches will be or should be adopted? What are the logical roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders in this new environment? This paper addresses these questions.
