| 摘要： | Geometric design is design of highway and street geometric elements that affect efficient traffic operations and safety. The design process consists of four steps: conceptual design, identifying broad design constraints and overall cost estimates; functional design, identifying property and utility impacts and refining cost estimates; preliminary design, providing an enhanced graphical representation of the road; and final design, providing the coordinate geometry of the alignment and cross section and the final cost estimate and construction layouts. This paper provides a brief review of the past and present and a look into the future of geometric design. |
