| 摘要： | Earthquakes have recently caused severe damage to bridges in several countries, including United States and Japan. This paper reports on the work being done to identify critical areas that need to be studied in order to develop new and more advanced seismic design criteria for highway bridges. Emphasis will be on the development of performance based design, including issues related to ground motion as well as analytical and experimental studies and new technologies. These design aspects are discussed. |
