| 摘要： | This article, authored by a member of the Transportation Research Board Committee on Public Transportation Planning and Development, provides an overview of issues affecting public transit policy, planning, and development at the beginning of the 21st century. Current approaches and future prospects are outlined and discussed. Continued monitoring of evolving global and local issues to ensure that public transit is in step with changing community needs, as well as continued searches for innovative practices that maximize new technology in cost-effective ways, will be key areas of focus for public transit planning and development policy in the 21st century. |
