In one of the few major permanent alterations made since the outbreak of the Covid pandemic, Reading Buses revised its network of Greenwave routes that serve employment and park-&-ride sites in the south of the town. The complex network used seven basic route numbers, supplemented by 14 more with suffixes. Worst afflicted was the 60, with variants 60A, 60B, 60C, 60E, 60M and 60X. The new network comprises just three variations, each now with its own brand identity. Buses to Kennet Island are now Ruby 10, Mereoak is served by park-&-ride 600, leaving Greenwave solely as route 50. This now follows just two routes, swapping over around 14.00, to follow the peak flows. |
