| 摘要： | The Friends of Chatham Traction is appealing for a further £40,000 to complete the restoration of its 1939 Chatham & District Weymann-bodied Bristol K5G double-decker. Since acquiring 874 (GKE 68) in 2009, it has raised and spent over £300,000 -£109,800 from National Lottery funds and £80,000 from a single bequest -on a complete rebuild of the chassis, bodywork, trim and flooring, but estimates that it will need £40,000 to retrim the 54 seats, fit drop window frames and other chrome work, a new clutch casting, repair or replace expensive mechanical parts and paint it into authentic 1950 livery. |
