| 摘要： | This study attempts to take a broad view of speed camera systems across Australasia by including the political support given with the jurisdiction and the dose of cameras applied. It contrasts the operational strategies that seek to achieve either a generalised or site specific effect on crashes. Some suggestions are made that could be considered to improve the effectiveness of Victoria's and New Zealand's systems. Considerable savings to the hospital system in New Zealand are available if a Victorian system is applied to reduce crashes in non-alcohol hours in New Zealand cities.
