摘要：	The Dutch Department of Transportation (DoT) encouraged the market introduction of a traffic information service including a receiver that would accommodate both the need for a colored map display and the lower-end of the market. This was realized by way of a pilot including 500 drivers who were provided with a small receiver and who received dynamic traffic information graphically presented in-car. The paper shortly describes the type of information service provided and the study design. Focus is on the impacts of the service on the degree the driver is informed on traffic conditions during his trip. Besides the capacity to better inform the end user, user acceptance, driver response and safety are shortly discussed. Quantitative results are presented.
