While measures on saving of resources and energy and environmental destruction become more important and urgent, CO2 emissions by the auto industry have been increasing recently and it becomes a serious problem. ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) make people, roads, and vehicles intelligent as a system by using the highest technology of information and communication. It attracts attention not only because it will improve safety and comfort but also it will improve traffic management and attain TDM (Traffic Demand Management). This research focused on the technologies coming to practical use from various fields and systems of ITS, and examined the quantitative analysis of improvement effects on the traffic environment.
