摘要: This paper compares the urban form and transportation patterns of Des Moines, Iowa, and Lincoln, Nebraska. The cities are similar in many ways. They are both state capitals. Both are midsize cities, Des Moines with a 1990 population of 193,187 and Lincoln with a 1990 population of 191,972. Both are located along Interstate 80, a little less than 200 miles apart.
