摘要：	With the march of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) technologies, an increasing number of automation services are being designed for vehicles and highways. To help the design process, there is a need for simulation and analysis of the performance of these automation systems. Accordingly, the vehicle control and transportation community has developed several simulation systems to model and simulate different aspects of such systems. A comprehensive survey of all such systems is beyond the scope of this paper. Instead, we present a targeted survey of a small set of representative packages to provide a cross section of tool capabilities. The vehicle-highway simulation tools can be classified into two categories: those that deal with narrow and specific design questions and those that provide a broadly applicable framework for answering several types of design questions.
