| 摘要： | In this paper, the authors present an experimental system of automatic digital map database generation. Taking paper maps as input data, the system can generate data for roads, building blocks and map contour lines in vector format. In road data generation, they developed a unique algorithm of "rolling ball", which works very efficiently in detecting and vectorizing road data. The road data and building block data produced by the system are in a listed link format, which is usually used in vehicle navigation, vehicle location and land planing. The produced data can also be converted to other data types than vector formats, such as CAD etc. |
