摘要：	This report is the tenth in a series of reports that continues the capital expenditure survey first begun by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in 1956. Subsequent reports were published by the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) and currently by the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD). In 1991, MARAD published the United States Port Development Expenditure Report, which summarized the findings of the earlier expenditure efforts as well as several AAPA capital expenditure surveys. That report provided a 44-year history of the expenditure pattern of the U.S. public port industry from 1946 through 1989. Since that report, MARAD has produced annual reports covering the industry's current and proposed capital expenditures. This report analyzes the results of the AAPA capital expenditure survey for 1999. The survey included the capital expenditures for 1999 and proposed expenditures for the period 2000 through 2004 along with the funding sources used to finance these expenditures. The survey data were obtained by AAPA from its corporate membership.
