摘要：	With the dawn of a new millennium, it is evident that the modern business climate is encompassed in an information technology revolution. Companies feel the pressure to utilize technological innovations for economic advantage. A danger with this practice is to simply utilize technology due to its mere existence and not because it solves a defined problem. In the field of transportation, public transportation agencies seek to apply Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technology to improve transit system operations. To improve existing conditions, it is imperative to identify the needs of the transit provider and remedy these problems through the assimilation of ITS and information technology. The objective of this project was to construct an interactive trip planner program that delivers accurate transit information through a highly visible medium in a timely manner. The design framework was completed by applying a goal-centered, systems engineering design approach.
