| 摘要： | Sir, As already mentioned from time to time, the Ministry has been receiving frequent complaints and public criticisms and grievances regarding inadequate Maintenance & Repair (MεtR) of NHs entrusted with various executing agencies (such as State Governments / UTs, NHAI, NHIDCL, BRO) to ensure their traffic worthiness. 2. Presently, there is lack of well-planned coordinated approach for undertaking maintenance & repair (MεtR) activities by various agencies. Further, limited budgetary resources are available annually for MεtR of NHs. 3. The Ministry is in the process of institutionalizing on-line system for asset management system for NHs with a view to ensure optimal resource utilization. 4. The issue was also emphasized during recent review of the Road Sector by Hon'ble Prime Minister held on 21.06.2021 5. As already intimated vide letter under reference (i) above, on-line Road Asset Management System (RAMS) has been developed for NHs with the objective to create a single road database for managing and maintaining NHs network. |
