摘要: This study evaluated two commercial off-the-shelf washrack wastewater recycle treatment systems (a Landa and an RGF) to determine their applicability at Army facilities. The evaluation assessed the resource requirements for installation, operation, maintenance and repair, and also assessed the effectiveness of the treatment. The two systems were found to use somewhat similar treatment processes. After a 3-month evaluation for each system, the results of the evaluations were also similar. Both systems required significant resources for in-house labor and for service. Neither system could be operated continually in an automated closed loop mode. Removal of organics was inadequate, and slugs of organics (e.g., glycol and diesel fuel) passed through the systems. These systems would not be recommended for use at Army installations unless: (1) the cost to connect the washrack to sanitary sewer was exceptionally high, or sanitary sewer was not available, or (2) the washrack was in a water short area where recycle was required.
