However, with more and more people getting their vaccines, there are certainly signs of optimism as we roll through this spring.And those positive vibes should continue, especially when you consider some of the data points that have recently been reported. One in particular that's hard to ignore is the 2021 GDP forecast issued by IHS Markit.With one full quarter in books, the IHS 2021 GDP forecast now calls for a 6.2% reading. Pandemic-related issues aside, that's a number that really stands out. That was made clear when IHS Markit chief U.S. economist and co-head of U.S. economics Joel Prakken recently commented on the factors leading to this forecast.
