Those trends include: Digitization and automation, data analysis, supply chain optimization and accessibility and availability of talent at all levels. Digitization and automation, enabled by data, help drive optimization across entire supply chains and not just inside the silos within the supply chain. The big gains in supply chain management in the next decade will be creating the visibility to optimize the entire supply chain. The successful supply chain will always be a blend of the people and the technology. You cannot have one without the other. This benefits the customer in the form of increased visibility. The ushering in of e-commerce demands this. |
