Leaders tend to be on top of the logistical issues we can fix, but it's also essential that we're taking good care of employees, too - especially now. Creating efficiencies, digital transformation, and customer care are undoubtedly on nearly every manager's mind. Protecting the workforce must be, as well.Q: What would you say are the biggest challenges currently facing logistics managers due to this environment? A: There's a great deal of uncertainty in the market and bottlenecks in our area of the supply chain or another are causing sizeable shifts in supply and demand. At this point, whether you're talking ocean shipping, trucking, or air, everyone is stretched a bit thin. The ability to stay the course, providing the same great level of service you're known for, while also being agile and ready to adapt to quickly changing conditions, is key. |
