Class I railroads Canadian Pacific Railway Limited (CP) and Kansas City Southern (KCS) continued to gain widespread industry support for CP's planned $29 billion acquisition of KCS, a deal that will establish the first freight railway connecting the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Nearly 350 customers, ports, transloads and other stakeholders have filed statements with the Surface Transportation Board throwing support behind the proposed deal.2.SMC3 introduces hybrid online LTL curriculum.Atlanta-based SMC3, a provider of less-than-truckload technology, data and education services, recently announced that it has rolled out its 2021 hybrid LTL learning curriculum. The company said that the objective of this educational offering, which kicked off this month, is to provide convenient, self-paced learning that provides live access to industry experts. SMC3 added that the educational offering is comprised of weekly live seminar sessions for shippers, 3PLs, carriers, freight forwarders and future supply chain leaders. |
