TESTS ARE TO BE CARRIED OUT TO DETERMINE THE INFLUENCE OF CARBONATION ON THE PROPERTIES OF CEMENT MORTARS. THE TESTS ARE TO TAKE ACCOUNT OF CEMENT PASTE CONTENT, WATER-CEMENT RATIO, COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH, BENDING TENSILE STRENGTH, CARBONATION RATE AND DYNAMIC MODULUS OF ELASTICITY, AND ARE TO BE CARRIED OUT WITH CEMENTS WHICH RELEASE LITTLE CALCIUM HYDROXIDE DURING CARBONATION, SUCH AS SUPERSULPHATED CEMENT, BLAST-FURNACE TRASS CEMENT AND BLAST-FURNACE CEMENT LOW IN CLINKER. THE RESULTS ARE TO BE COMPARED WITH MORTARS MADE OF NORMAL PORTLAND CEMENT. |
