| 摘要： | The Wyoming and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) specifications for bridge deck joints are often inadequate. AASHTO and Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) specifications should be complementary. WYDOT specifications should supplement the AASHTO specifications, typically for conditions that are specific to Wyoming. WYDOT and AASHTO bridge joint specifications are vague, inconsistent, incomplete and require significant modifications concerning bridge deck joints. The WYDOT district and maintenance engineers were surveyed with questionnaires in order to determine the specific inadequacies of the specifications. The joints that were studied are the following: finger plates, plank seals, compression seals, strip seals and field-molded joint sealants. Recommendations are divided into design, installation and maintenance. |
