| 摘要： | Arecent press statement from the Met Office indicates that 2020 was the second warmest year since records began in 1850 and that the second decade of the 21st century was the warmest on record - 2016 is recognised as the warmest year.An overall rise of around 1.3℃ may not seem a massive increase but the effects of such temperature changes are still dramatic, with sea level rises due to Arctic and Antarctic ice melting contributing to significant environmental effects across the globe.In October 2020, the Met Office, through its United Kingdom Climate Projections and some collaboration with the BBC, looked at future climate and projections for the UK. These indicated that significant temperature rises are likely in the decades ahead for both winter and summer, with the greatest increases in the already warmer South. |
