BAM Nuttall and Balfour Beatty are understood to be among the five contractors chasing a contract to build the £118m Cross Tay Link Road for Perth and Kinross Council. The scheme is the second phase of the Perth Transport Futures project and will deliver a new road to link the A9 over the River Tay to the A93 and A94 north of Scone. Planning permission was granted for the scheme in October 2020 and tender documents were issued to the shortlisted contractors on December 21. The council aims to name a contractor by 4 June. The project comprises realignment of a stretch of the A9 and building a bridge over the River Tay. The work also includes a new grade separated junction on the A9 north of Inveralmond Roundabout. |
