As a strategic partner of Balfour Beatty, Atkins has been working since 2019 on the 'MyRoad' initiative to drive improvements in customer experience that will have a real impact on how users feel on the strategic road network (SRN). Driven by Highways England's focus on customers, we have committed to always seeing the road from the customer's point of view and using their experiences to shape our work throughout all of the network's life cycle. With more than four million journeys made on our roads each day, the SRN is the beating heart of UK economic growth and connectivity. Traffic on the SRN is forecast to increase significantly in the future and a focus on customer experience will be crucial in enabling free-flowing, predictable and safe journeys for road users. We are excited to be supporting Highways England in delivering the largest upgrade to the SRN in decades, with minimal disruption to customers while providing the best legacy possible for road operators and users To achieve this, we are helping Highways England to make the best use of data and new technology, ensuring that customers are always at the heart of their investments. |
