| 摘要： | In early 2016,I implemented my first ever scheme using the experimental traffic order process. The scheme was for a single modal filter designed to stop drivers treating a residential street as an extra lane of a parallel trunk road. The scheme was successful in ridding the street of through traffic, and looking back today, there is no way the residents would want it removed. However, the scheme's installation was the start of a year of constant complaints from the minority of residents who disagreed with the scheme, having to get bollards replaced because of people damaging them or removing them and of course drafting replies for councillors. Most of the time spent on the project was having to manage the complaints of those who thought it was their unalienable right to barrel down side streets because satisfied people rarely make themselves known. |
