| 摘要： | With local authorities seeking to cut their contribution to climate change and toxic air pollution, not to mention costs, some trailblazing councils are looking to electric power for the large vehicles they use for street cleaning and refuse collection. Late last year a 100% electric 15-tonne V65e truck mounted sweeper, supplied and manufactured by Bucher Municipal, joined the City of Edinburgh Council's fleet of street sweepers, covering streets across the centre of the Scottish capital. Its 200kwh battery can complete an eight-hour sweeping shift and be fully recharged within five hours. It will produce 39kg of CO_2 per day compared with a diesel sweepers' emissions of 150kg. The estimated cost of £2,000 to charge each year represents an annual saving of £18,000, compared to equivalent diesel vehicles. |
