Disruption to academic courses for students and apprentices has left many young engineers unsure about their first steps into their new profession. Uncertainty in the job market caused in part by Covid-19 has left many would-be engineers fearful for their futures. Some have even questioned whether choosing a career in engineering was the right choice given that many would have started courses before Covid and finished during lockdown after a year of remote lectures or irregular work placements. |
