摘要: With all four home nations back in lockdown, many bus routes were again cut in January. In England, a directive from the Department for Transport suggested service levels of 75 to 80% are appropriate, in part to reduce the subsidy. Latest figures show passenger numbers at about a quarter of normal in most of England, rising to just under a third in London and the West Midlands. Many operators introduced revised timetables and suspended some services. Arriva Southern Counties maintained the 12min weekday frequency of route 101 between Maidstone and the Medway Towns, but reduced it to hourly for much of Saturday. Some joint Stagecoach/Oxford Bus Company routes are operating Sunday timetables on Saturdays, with early morning extras.
